The noise I made was like the sound I used to imagine some unfortunate "hun" in the Victor comics would make as he was shot by "tommy".

It seems that our purchaser's solicitors need to know who is responsible for the pathway leading up to the pathway that leads to our house. Why this doesn't appear on the deeds is anybody's guess but apparently it doesn't; seems our solicitor's overlooked it when we were buying the place.

So the dreaded call needs to be placed to the council; the property was a council house some 20 years ago. Lets just hope that they make me eat my hat again!

I shan't be holding my breath...

Draft Contract

The draft contract has been written up and is ready to send to the buyer's solicitors. So what is the hold up? Why have we had noe news from our solicitor?

You would have thought that selling a house with no chain on either side would be a straight forward affair. It seems that solicitor's have an inherent need to delay things even when there is no good reason.

Change of Address

Not only will my postal address be changing in the not too distant future but today my e-mail address changed too. It's amazing when you come to do something like this how many different online registrations you find you have made using your current account.
It was like a spring clean going through them all and either updating the information for ones I wanted or needed to keep and cancelling ones that were no longer of use. Iwould like to have been able to have told a story about some bizarre registrations that I had made but sadly no my online life is pretty mundane.
One thing that I will be registering for soon, using my new account, will be round the world travel sites. Herman and I have decided to throw caution to the wind and set off around the world to see places and friends that we would otherwise maybe never have done. I'll be keeping you all posted (no pun intended) on the progress of our plans.

More Viewings

We have had a deluge of viewings arranged and some promising news from those that have already been around. Here's hoping that we can effect a quick sale...

Typical

A day after putting the house up for sale I get an e-mail from GPS to the effect that one of our members could save a considerable amount of money for anyone selling a property.

Devastated !
